There was a sculpture of a dragon on the wall in the precinct. It was flying strongly. The main deity enshrined in Baoan Temple is Baosheng Emperor. He was an existing person lived in Fujian, China about 1000 years ago.
According to legend, he put a drop of medicine in dragons eye and comforted the throat pain of tigers. So he was worshiped as a deity of medicine. Perhaps, the sculpture was based on the folklore.
