Shot at the harbor of Sarahama in Irabu, Okinawa.
The harbor was silent when I came here. The time of the fish haul seemed to be gone already. Only some people were working silently in the harbor. The man in this photo was one of them.
In front of him, an ocean-fresh skipjack tuna was placed on the chopping board. And he was just cutting the bonito with a knife. It seemed to be hard to cut the fish. His face became crooked with severe straining. The fish could be firm-textured.
