The small port of Sarahama, where I wandered over, was quiet. The landing time seemed to have passed and there were only a few people working quietly in the harbor. The man in this photo was one of those working in such a quiet harbor.
There was a freshly landed bonito on the cutting board in front of him, and the man with the knife in hand was just processing it. Putting the knife in seemed to be a challenge. It didn't seem to cut easily. His face was twisted as he pushed the knife in with full force. It must be a very firm bonito.
