A small church was there. A spire was seen on the roof and a cross was placed on it. According to the signboard hung on the facade, this building was Berhampore Church. Both its wall and fence were painted in vivid red.
It might be built during the British era. Though it was kept clean, it seemed to be seldom-used. I heard the most valuable buildings in the city center were built under British rule.
