Three businessman-like men are standing in front of me. They are all waiting for the Yamanote Line to arrive. Mixed in with the silent line, I felt as if I was a part of the scene. Soon, an announcement rang out that the Yamanote line was arriving.
At that moment, a man standing right in front of me suddenly started scratching his head. It was as if the signal that the train was coming had dredged up something that had sunk to the depths of oblivion. But before I could find meaning in this action, time had already been swept away. The Yamanote train slid onto the platform, accompanied by a dull roar. In front of its momentum, the man's small gesture also disappeared like dust in the wind.
