Boy sitting on bags — Boy waiting for songthaew

The boy in the photo was among those waiting for a songthaew, a vehicle converted from the back of a small truck into a passenger bus. This is a songthaew depot in Bangkok. Many people boarded the songthaew or waited by the roadside for the songthaew to arrive. The boy was also waiting for the songthaew to come. He is sitting on a bag on the side of the road and drinking a drink. Like many others, the bag probably contained goods purchased in Bangkok. It was hard to believe that a young boy had come alone to stock up, so he must have come with his parents. However, there was no sign of his parents around.

He is waiting all alone. The boy did not seem to care about that. He is holding a straw in his mouth and looking around at the traffic. He seems to be quite familiar with the place. Even though many adults were coming and going in front of him, the boy remained seated comfortably, unfazed. His appearance made me think that he might have come here alone.
