Hamamatsucho Station is lined with several stores and restaurants. One of them, the bar in the photo, caught my eye. The walls were finished in wood grain, giving it an old-fashioned yet sophisticated air. The large windows had writing in what appeared to be a foreign language painted on them. I had no idea what the letters meant or even what language they were written in. However, this ignorance creates a strange sense of security. The fact that I don't know guarantees me the illusion that there is some fashionable meaning there.
I shift my gaze to the window and notice a series of whiskey brands printed on it. All of them bear the familiar Suntory name. If this was not a coincidence, then this bar must have been made by Suntory - such a confident guess seemed strangely at home in the atmosphere of the place.
