On the edge of the Ueno Park, there was a small shrine. I found a big ring made with cogon-grass being placed in front of the hall. It is called 'CHINOWA' and it is believed it contributes to the wellness when people enter the ring.
A woman who was putting a sunshade up was standing just in front of it. She was watching the ring without moving. I thought it was not necessary to hesitate to enter. Maybe she was gathering her wits before entering.
