A pretty girl was standing in front of a sign written in Burmese. She noticed me and turned around. She had a circle painted in thanaka on her cheek and a small accessory on her head in the shape of a hat. The hat accessory on her head alone was powerful enough to catch people's attention, but as a Japanese, I was much more interested in the design on her cheeks. It doesn't really make sense to me, but it seems that the circles on the cheeks are part of the fashion. Therefore, even if there is a pattern on the cheeks, the shape of the pattern differs from person to person.
