Durbar Square is the centerpiece of the Old City of Kathmandu, where the entire city is a tourist attraction. Many tourists from inside and outside of the country come here. This means that there are also many people doing business in the square, catering to the tourists.
A cotton candy vendor was selling cotton candy in a Hindu temple called Maju Dega. The cotton candy vendor was at the top of a nine-tiered pedestal, so he would have a good view of the people coming and going in the square. He would be able to see his rivals' movements. But at the same time, he would be far away from his customers.
