When I was rambling along the streets, I heard a bell ringing up close suddenly. A bell was ringing above my head. The building stood behind the cathedral of San Cristobal De Las Casas.
Because about 80% of the population were Roman Catholic, a cathedra was installed here. The name of this city derived from Bartolomé de las Casas, who was first officially appointed 'Protector of the Indians'. I felt the arrogance from the name in a sort of way.
