Although the approach to Atsuta Jingu Shrine was spacious, there were not many people on this day and it was a rattling place. As I was walking along the approach toward the torii gate on the other side of the road, I saw a miko (shrine maiden) also walking along the approach. Of course, she was dressed in a miko costume.

Because the path was not paved but gravel, I was worried that I might get my hem dirty if I walked in a miko costume. But the priestess did not seem to be concerned. Of course she doesn't. For her, it must be part of her job to walk around in a miko costume. She must be used to walking on gravel paths. The miko walked away.
