Women Striking A Pose

Dancing women striking pose together

Two dancing women struck a pose together

Shot at Yoyogi Park in Harajuku, Tokyo.

Watched a woman wearing a floral skirt dancing. The place was exposed to the rockabilly music. The history of Japanese rockabilly was longer than expected. In the late 1950s, it was already introduced to Japan. And it was said that the rockabilly started a boom soon. I thought the Japanese people of that time had romantic notions about the American culture stronger than we are now. Yet the fad had passed. The rockabilly is thought as a Golden Oldie now.

In such a situation, some rockabilly people gather to this place on every weekend. And they enjoyed dancing to the rockabilly music here. Watching the woman dancing, another woman also started to dance. In the meantime, they struck the same pose together.
