There was a stage in the Plaza Burgos near the Vigan Cathedral. Some yougsters were enjoying dancing on it. They seemed to practice there. On the other hand, a man carrying a yoke was walking beside the Monument of Dr. Burgos. He was watching the stage while he was moving.
As you are about to see, the name of this park derives from José Burgos who was a secular priest executed as a rebel by the Spanish colonial authorities in the 19th century.
