Many women were doing things around the house on the edge of the water. The place was a public washing ghat. I didn't know whether the water was clear or not. Yet the locals didn't care about it. They were washing clothes. At any rate, this river was a holy river for Hindu.
So, they might think what they washed here would be purified like if they bathed in the river. One woman was just washing a saree. It seemed to be hard to wash the long textile.
