While walking in Tainan, I came across a small workshop. Inside, several women were working silently. The woman in the photo was one of them, and it appeared that she was making a curtain for a altar called a Eight Sacred Treasures. There were a number of finished products hanging on the wall, all colorful and beautifully finished.
A wooden frame was set up in front of the woman, between which the cloth was stretched tightly. She was carefully sewing it on, carefully pulling each thread. A spool of thread and a pair of scissors were placed haphazardly in her hand, but she was remarkably precise in her work. Intrigued, I approached her, and she paused for a moment and glanced at me. However, she immediately resumes her work with an air of concentration. I was impressed by her sharp gaze directed at the cloth.
