A woman in a saree was selling mangoes in a large basket at the market
A woman with a saree was sitting on the ground of a market in Murshidabad. The ground of the market was not paved and many parts of the market had no roof. It was kind of a market not too different from an open-air market. What do they do when it rains? I wondered if everyone would be covered with mud to do business.
There was a big basket in front of the woman in this photo and there were many mangoes in it. It's not unusual to see people selling mangoes while walking around a city in India. Mangoes are a common fruit here.
Because it was already afternoon, there were not so many shoppers in the market. But there were still a lot of mangoes left for sale. The woman who was picking up one and cleaning it off was selling mangoes in the quiet market.
