After leaving Zojo-ji Temple, I was heading for Hamamatsu-cho station. On my way to the station, I noticed a busy bar. It appeared to be a yakitori restaurant, and the delicious smell filled the sidewalk.
Although it was the middle of the day on a weekend, the restaurant was crowded, and the staff seemed busy standing around. There seems to be seating inside, but many people who can't fit inside are also overflowing outside the restaurant, all standing around picking up yakitori and drinking sake. The sound of happy voices echoed in the air, and rightly so. It must be fun to be able to drink sake while the sun is still high in the sky.
