The village of Bangaan, located at the bottom of a valley, was surrounded by terraced rice paddies
I came to the village of Bangaan by bus. As I got off the bus, I saw a small village in the distance at the bottom of the valley. This is the village of Bangaan. The houses in this village in northern Luzon are built shoulder to shoulder and surrounded by terraced rice paddies. The village, though small, is a World Heritage Site.
Then again, the village seemed a long way from the bus stop. To visit the village, one has to go down a long slope to the bottom of the valley. This means that I have to climb this long flight of stairs again on my way back from the village. I felt a little heavy as I walked down the slope toward the village.
