The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum was once the main residence of the imperial family, the Asaka-no-miya. The residence was designed by the Ministry of the Imperial Household and decorated by a French designer. After many twists and turns, it is now an art museum. It is a very nice place for a stroll, with objects placed in the garden. King Asaka-no-miya Yasuhiko, who built it, must have been a man of considerable taste.
As I was walking through the beautifully maintained gardens, a man was sitting on a bench. He is napping with his legs haphazardly stretched out. Judging from his posture, he appeared to be sound asleep. The sun was soft and the climate was just right for a nap.
