The crossing was a pedestrian scramble. The traffic light turned green. And some pedestrians started to cross. One pedestrian was coming in this way. His figure was silhouetted when it entered the shadow. And his face was veiled from me.
I thought he shifted away both his name and his business title when he was silhouetted. And he became just an anonymous citizen. I thought this was the situation which John Rawls called the veil of ignorance.
