The air at the Yangon Central Station was languid. The historic station building is a magnificent structure, but there is no air conditioning, and the heat from outside is relentlessly entering the station building. People were waiting for the train in the heat. Unlike Tokyo Station, trains do not come frequently. Most of the time, the station is quiet. In such a situation, many people are waiting for the train to go somewhere. Some of them are sitting on the floor waiting.
A silhouetted mother and a silhouetted boy were also waiting on a mat by the fence. Their luggage was placed around them, and a platform could be seen beyond the fence. I don't know when the train they are planning to board will arrive, but the mother sitting on the floor looks like she is in it for the long haul. In Myanmar, trains are not always on time. As a result, this father and son may not know when the train will come.
