The man I met at the Pashupatinath temple was a Hindu practitioner called a sadhu, judging from his outfit. Even today, some Hindus are ordained and start their ascetic practices, and you often see such people when you visit Hindu temples in Nepal and India.
However, the man smelled a little fishy. If you take a closer look, you will see that the man was carrying various objects on his head. And when he found a foreign tourist with a camera, he would call out to them from one side to the other. Looking at him, I couldn't help but feel that he was not a real sadhu, but a tourist sadhu doing business with tourists. When I looked at this photo, the smile on his face looked like a salesman's smile.
