The Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world. This temple is part of the Kathmandu Valley, which is registered as a World Heritage Site and is visited by many worshippers and even pagans like me. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to enter the temple building. Non-Hindus like me were not allowed inside.

I had no choice but to wander around the riverside where the crematorium was located. All I could do was watch the people visiting from the other side of the Bagmati River. Looking towards the temple from the other side of the river, I saw a long staircase leading down from the temple to the riverside. There was a steady stream of worshippers coming down the stairs. And at the bottom of the stairs, there were worshippers hanging out like water in a puddle.
