While aimlessly wandering the streets of Bangkok, I realized I had completely lost my way. At some point, I no longer knew which direction I was heading. Getting lost in an unfamiliar city can feel like being quietly left behind by the world—but in its own way, that’s when the real adventure begins. Asking locals for directions is half the fun.
This time, I approached a man in a red apron, the one in the photo. He was lounging on a chair he’d placed on the sidewalk, and when I asked for directions, he responded with a warm smile. Seeing a chance, I raised my camera, and he flashed a peace sign without hesitation. Getting lost in a city full of friendly people isn’t such a bad thing—it might just be the best part.
