The older woman smoked water pipe under the eaves
The city of Panauti was tranquil. Some local people were lazy and relax by the wayside. The old lady was one of them. She sat on the edge of the eaves of a house. She was just smoking a water pipe called Hookah around here.
I didn't know that people here also smoke water pipes like people in the Middle East until I came to this country. I saw many people smoking cigarettes. However, it was not uncommon to see people smoking a water pipe here. Yet I couldn't feel any special atmosphere from her. Not only men but also women seemed to enjoy smoking. The custom was prevailing much more than I thought.
