After leaving the Thon Buri railway station, I headed for the Bangkok Noi Canal. Watching the map, I found a big Buddhist temple near the canal. Of course, there are many Buddhist temples in Tokyo. Yet both the atmosphere and the architectural style are different from here. And the differences made me fun to visit. So I decided to visit the temple.
It was easy to find. And I entered its precinct. The precinct was silent and no one was seen. Tentatively, I entered a hall which might be the main hall of this temple. The wall was occupied by the old paintings. According to Wikipedia, this temple had a long history. However, same as the precinct, no one was inside but one Buddhist monk wearing a Kasaya was there. He sat on a chair and just recited a sutra in the deserted hall.
