A mirror was placed on the side of the road in the old town of Patan. The surface was dirty, it did not seem to be for sale, and I am not sure what it had been placed there for. It looked as if someone had forgotten it here.
As I gazed at the mirror in a daze, I saw a man pushing a bicycle in the mirror. As I looked at it, it occurred to me. Perhaps it had been left there so that passersby could keep up appearances. But is such kindness possible?
In any case, the mirror silently reflected the alleyways of the old town on rainy and windy days.
