Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse

Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse

The lighthouse stretched straight to the sky

Shot in Izumo, Shimane. Because there were not any tall architectures, the lighthouse was easy to notice. All the buildings around it were one-storied. And it looked really sharp with the blue sky. It seemed to make a parade of its existence not only to the ocean, but also the to the land.

The lighthouse in this photo is Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse. It is the highest stone lighthouse in Japan and was built between from 1900 and 1903.
