If you go north about 10km from the town of Muang Sing, there is a village of the Akha tribe. I rode a bicycle to the village. The village was lined with thatched houses.
The Akha people's traditional costume is cool among the many ethnic minorities in Laos. The women wear metal accessories on their heads. So I came to the Akha village expecting to see a lot of women in their cool traditional costume.
But contrary to my expectations, the village residents were clearly not welcoming to me. Maybe they thought the arrival of a foreigner would disrupt their peaceful life. The adults acted as if I wasn't even there. They never speak to me when I come into view. Unfortunately, only children showed any interest in the intruder.
