It was raining lightly. It was unfortunate weather. I came to Ginza and stood there at the 4-chome intersection. Not many people were passing by. There were more taxis driving through the intersection than people passing by. Maybe it was only the curious who bothered to walk in this kind of weather.
Looking at the ranking of land prices published in 2021, Ginza occupies the first through fourth places. In other words, Ginza in Tokyo is the most expensive place in Japan. Of all the places in Ginza, the place with the highest land price is the Yamano Music Store near the intersection. In this photo, it is the building two buildings to the right of the main Wako building with the clock. You can see a small sign that says "山野楽器".
When it comes to musical instruments, piano used to be one of the most popular things for girls to learn in Japan. However, it seems that this is no longer the case. In Japan, piano fever is on the decline, while in China, the popularity of the piano as a learning tool is on the rise. As a result of the increase in the number of children learning to play the piano in China, Yamaha, which manufactures and sells pianos, is rapidly increasing its sales in China.
