Shot at Miyano Old Folk House in Senzoku, Tokyo.
On that day, I visited Miyano Old Folk House, which housed an old folk house and displayed old daily necessaries. Although it is located near my house in Tokyo, I have never been to. So I decided to visit suddenly.
In the midst of the residential area, the old folk house stood. Entering the wooden gate, its main house came into my field of vision. The architecture was built in the Edo era. It was so massive that I thought the owner of the house was a village headman. Yet it was not true.
The owner made its fortune by selling bamboo to the Nori growers. This area was famous for bamboo and it was in abundant supply. Bamboo was suitable to make the appurtenances for cultivating Nori, a traditional edible seaweed in Japan.
