Walking around the center of Yangon, it is common to see street vendors. Some are selling something to eat, others are selling knick-knacks. Some set up stalls that look like stores, while others simply display their wares on the street. The man with the hat in the photo was the kind of person who sells food on the street.
The man was selling fruit by placing a carrying pole with baskets on both ends on the ground. With this kind of work style, it is easy to change the place where you do business, and you may even change the location depending on your mood. However, he might have to pay someone a fee for doing business on the street. If this is necessary, it would be a little difficult to change the location of the store at will.
In any case, the sales of the man's fruit did not seem to be going very well, even though he was doing business in a busy place. The man looked bored as he chewed on a toothpick.
