Some young men played football in the downtown
Getting off the passenger ferry, I headed for my hotel in Chinatown. And I walked through the downtown. Although there was a lot of traffic in the main streets in this area, there was not much traffic when I got sidetracked. Walking one of the side streets, I found some young men. A goal was placed in the middle of the street. They played football there.
Football might be also a major sport in Myanmar like other many countries. Even this country was one of the colonies of the United Kingdom, I had never seen people playing cricket during staying. In fact, Myanmar was not a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. Some magnificent buildings built during the British rule still remained in the downtown of Yangon. However, playing cricket didn't take root in this country.
