When I walked the path in Ueno Park, I found a mound by the wayside. I climbed up in a flutter of curiosity. And I found a big face on the top of the mound.
It was a head of a statue of Buddha, which height was 6m. The statue was heavily damaged during the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake and the head was toppled at that time. And now only its head was placed in the corner of the park. Even though it lost its body, it had a placid look.
