I met a man wearing a turban when I walked the streets. He wore also an admirable beard. And it was messy. According to his appearance, he was a Sikh. Although Sikhism was not the major religion in India, I sometimes see Sikhs during rambling along the streets.
Sikhs had a custom not to shave their beard. It seemed to be a long time ago when he shaved the beard last time. Yet the length was not so long enough to say that he never had time to shave.
