The place I came by ferry was Dalah. It is located on the opposite side of the Yangon river. According to the map, this area was within the city limits of Yangon. When I came here 8 years ago, I thought it was one of the surrounding towns. Many local people crossed the river to come and go ceaselessly between the downtown and Dalah. And I also got on the passenger ferry which had a big body like locals.
Disembarking the ferry, I found some small wooden boats moored on the riverbank. I wondered what these boats were used for. Some survival equipment was seen in one of them. Seemingly, they were ferryboats, too. A local said that they were fishing boats. And foreign travelers couldn't get on them. Yet I thought it was interesting to cross the wide Yangon river by these small wooden boats for the kick.
