While wandering around Durbar Square in Patan, I met an elegant older woman with gray hair, wearing a pearl necklace and a saree. She was not wearing a bindi, which is a sign of Hinduism, although everyone looks like a Hindu when wearing a saree. She didn't even cover her hair, so she doesn't seem to be a Muslim. She might be a Buddhist.
The older woman had soft droopy eyes. When I asked her if I could take her picture, she seemed a little confused, but then she settled into the viewfinder with her mouth half open. I felt the old woman's confusion dripping from the corners of her drooping eyes.
