There was a stream in the center of the road which was flanked by stone walls. A limpid stream was flowing the waterway silently. Once, old samurai residences stood side by side in this area. And this waterway brought the daily life water from a shrine, which was located about 2km far from here.
When I stood beside the stream, I found a figure at the end of the stream. He was crouching while he was watching the surface of the water. Unlike me, he seemed to be a local. Perhaps, he was a descendant of a samurai.
