Great Gate In Yasukuni Jinja

great gate in Yasukuni Jinja

A big Torii stood at the entrance

Shot at Yasukuni Jinja, a Shinto Shrine in Kudan, Tokyo.

Although this shrine doesn't have a long history. Yet it is big because it enshrines the war dead and was built by the government. At the entrance of the approach, a big Torii stands.

The big silhouette in this photo is the Torii called the Great Gate of the shrine. And a small silhouette at the end of the approach is the statue of 'Masujiro Omura' who was a founder of the Imperial Army of Japan. It stands on the tall foundation and looks down the worshipers.
