The mother was doing her best to chase after children
As I was resting on the side of the wide approach to Yasukuni Shrine, I saw children running. Schoolchildren on their way home from school with school bags on their backs were running away. And their mothers were chasing them. It was like a game of tag. The children running away seemed to be enjoying themselves, but the mother chasing them did not seem to be enjoying herself at all.
There are many private schools in the area of Kudan where Yasukuni Shrine is located. There is Hosei University, Tokyo University of Science, Nishogakusha, Gyosei, and Shirayuri Gakuen. From the looks of it, the children in the photo seem to be students of Shirayuri Gakuen.
