People were waiting for the signal at a pedestrian crossing on the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station. The Marunouchi side is lined with large office buildings, so most of the people waiting at the light were businessmen in suits.
Among them, I could see one person standing slightly in front of the others, crossing his legs as he waited for the signal to change. From the looks of it, this businessman is in a hurry and wants to cross the street right now. But unfortunately, signals treat all pedestrians equally. No human being is given special treatment.
