There were many Hindu temples and small shrines were everywhere in the old quarter of Kathmandu. And Hindu deities were stationed in each temple and shrine. So people said that Kathmandu was the city with many deities. Came to the Durbar square. Once the royal palace was placed in this square. And many Hindu temples were built along with the palace.
Although the king was gone away, the temples still maintained authority. And they attracted many people here. So there were not only deities but also human beings in this square. However, plentiful pigeons were perching on both the ground and the roof as if they insisted they were the main character in this square.
