Many food stalls were doing business in the precinct. The tables were placed in front of them and many worshipers were enjoying eating there.
You might think it was inadequacy to eat and drink in the site. Yet the precinct was not just a religious site. The prominent religious spaces have been used as an excuse of traveling for a long time in this country. To go to a shrine or a temple which were in a far-away land and to take a sightseeing tour were the same in meaning in days past.
