Young Couple Under The Willow

young couple under willow

The willow stayed motionless

Shot at Senso-Ji, a Buddhist temple in Asakusa, Tokyo.

In the corner of the precinct, a willow stood. And a young couple wearing a Yukata, a Japanese summer kimono, was standing together. The girl seemed to be in a lousy mood and the boy seemed to get bothered by her. He was scratching his head. They might be just getting into a tangle.

Yet it meant nothing to the willow. It waited and saw how they moved silently. It waved the branches softly in the air when the window blew.
