Family On The Approach

black-tied family in Shinto shrine

The family was going toward the hall

Shot at Kumano Jinja, a Shinto shrine in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo.

The approach was narrow and long. When I was walking it, a family was walking ahead me. They seemed to come to this shrine to the The Seven-Five-Three Festival. The daughter was togged out in her Sunday best. And her father was also formally-dressed.

He was taking the young girl by the hand. A Torii stood right in front. And the mother was seen at the end of the approach. It was a clear day and a good time to celebrate.
