The approach to the Kumano Shrine in Jiyugaoka was long and narrow, and the sun was streaming down through the trees. This Kumano Shrine maintains a lush green precinct in the fashionable Jiyugaoka neighbourhood. As I was walking along the approach, there was a family in front of me. Apparently they were visiting the shrine to celebrate Shichi-Go-San. The girl was clad in a fine dress and her father was in a suit.

The girl is walking with her father holding her hand. A torii gate stood in front of them, and beyond it, they could see the mother, also dressed in a fine dress. The weather was fine and it was the perfect day for a celebration.
