I came to the banks of the Bagmati River, which flows beside the temple in Pashupatinath. The Bagmati River is considered a holy river in both Buddhism and Hinduism. Pagans are forbidden to enter the temple, which is also registered as a World Heritage Site, but there is no problem with pagans wandering around the sacred river.
On the right side of the river was a crematorium, and on the left side was a bathing area. I saw two figures sitting in the bathing area. They were both wearing topi caps, so they seemed to be locals. They were facing each other and talking about something. I don't know what they were talking about, but I'm sure they weren't talking about anything important.
