During walking along the canal, I came to a wharf. Yet there were no ferries. Most of the ferries I saw crossing the canal were ferries for tourists. And they didn't stop here. The passengers just enjoyed watching the scenery from the ferry. Besides, it seemed to become uncommon to use ferries any more, even for the locals. The wharf was deserted.
Although no figures were seen at the wharf, many pigeons were crowding together. Of course, they didn't wait for the ferries coming. The open space was suitable for them. Because the buildings were close-packed here, there were a few places where they could gather around. The doves were walking and flying around in a lordly manner.
