A number of men were standing on the shore of Beruwala, holding what looked like a rope in their hands. These men were not practicing tug of war here. The rope was part of a seine net.
There was a wide expanse of sandy beach here, and it looked like a good place to play in the sea. But there were no swimmers on the beach at this time. There were only strong fishermen standing at the edge of the waves. Some of them were seen wearing a lungi.
The men are pulling the ropes in sync, and it's a big fisherman's job. The seine nets used must be very large.
