This city was crowded with young people. Many youngsters who got dressed up were walking around. So I thought I had no place here. Yet it was just all in my mind and other people weren't blithely uninterested in me.
I was standing on the edge of the sidewalk and watching a never-ending stream of the pedestrians. The sun was strong. The pedestrians were silhouetted and their shadows were wriggling on the hot pavement.
