I was standing at the entrance to Center Gai in Shibuya. I don't know when this street got a name like "Basketball Street," but I wonder if it's taken root. I guess not. The new name is too long and hard to call. Anyway, Center Gai was crowded again this day. People going to the back and people coming out of the back were crossing near the entrance.
Even in front of me standing on the side of the street, there were many people walking left and right. In the midst of all this, a young man in a polo shirt and a girl wearing a straw boater were passing each other. Their gazes never crossed, and each disappeared into the crowd. Perhaps this moment is truly a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
